The challenge of supervising remotely

In companies with multiple access points or rotating shifts, the biggest challenge is not access itself, but knowing whether the guard or supervisor actually completed the patrol. Without a digital system, the only evidence is a paper log that can be filled in at the last minute or incompletely.

The Porteria® Empresas patrol module solves this with real-time verifiable evidence.

How does the patrol module work?

The administrator configures in the web panel a sequence of checkpoints that the officer must visit during their shift. Each checkpoint has:

  • A defined location (with a physically installed QR or NFC tag)
  • An expected visit schedule
  • A time tolerance (e.g., ±15 minutes)

The officer scans each checkpoint with their Porteria® app. The system records the exact time, the device's GPS location and the user's identity.

📍 Triple verification: Each patrol log includes a timestamp, geolocation and the officer's identity signature. Impossible to falsify from the office.

Automatic alerts for missed checkpoints

If a checkpoint is not logged within the expected timeframe, the system sends a push notification to the supervisor in real time. There's no need to review reports at the end of the shift: problems are detected when there's still time to act.

Available alert types

  • Checkpoint not visited: The officer did not pass through the checkpoint within the defined time
  • Incomplete patrol: The shift ended without completing all checkpoints
  • Officer off route: GPS shows a location inconsistent with the patrol route
  • No activity: The device has not registered movement in X minutes

Reports and evidence for audits

Each shift generates an automatic downloadable PDF report with:

  • Shift start and end time
  • All checkpoints visited with timestamp and checkpoint photo (optional)
  • Checkpoints not visited or visited outside schedule
  • Map with the officer's route

These reports are useful for internal audits, security committee reports or as evidence in incident investigations.

Common use cases

Residential building with night guards

The night guard must cover 5 checkpoints in the building every 2 hours. The system verifies the patrol is completed even while the administrator is sleeping. If it fails, an alert is sent to their phone.

Company with multiple facilities

A security manager supervises 4 warehouses in different locations from a single panel. Each on-site officer reports in real time. No calls, no manual spreadsheets.

Healthcare center or clinic

Access control patrols in restricted areas are automatically documented for regulatory compliance.

Is it only for large companies?

No. The patrol module is available in the base Porteria® Empresas plan. If you have a building with a single night guard, you can still use it to have evidence of work completed and detect incidents before they escalate.
